Half Term Sports Report - Autumn Term 2017

Half-Term Sports Report – Autumn Term 2017

A very busy first half of term has seen some 42 rugby and hockey matches played by the various age groups.

The pupils have competed with commitment, determination, sportsmanship and excellent team spirit, resulting in 21 victories, 18 losses and 3 draws.

The U8/U9’s have thoroughly enjoyed in what for some of them is their first competitive experience in both tag rugby and hockey, recording notable victories against Stover, St Peter’s Lympstone and St John’s.

The U11 rugby squad is developing well and gained impressive victories so far against Exeter Cathedral, Wellington, Blundell’s in addition to a well earned draw with Exeter School.

The Middle School rugby boys’ have competed admirably against strong opposition and acquitted themselves very well, despite being physically challenged in terms of comparative stature.

Finally, the girls’ hockey is continuing to evolve and the teams have been on the wrong side of some very close games. Hopefully, their luck will change in the second half of term. Well done to everyone involved so far.
